Hello. Program Guidelines regarding Genuine Efforts to Recruit Locally says in additional considerations that:HI folks,
I'm working in BC under open work permit, and my job is NOC A.
However, when I applied for a job in this company, the initial position I applied was QA specialist. However, after several rounds of interview, they offered me a new position as International RA specialist (NOC 1122). and I've been working for more than 6 months with this position. I'm waiting to apply for Skilled Worker - EEBC and expect my score will be invited soon (mine is 112, the last invitation - score 114- Oct 12).
I've sent the check list to my HR and they're ready to support with all documents, except recruitment effort. She said she could mention something (like efforts) on the form, but the company does not have recruitment adv for my current title. Is it possible to be accepted? if you're in similar situation, how did you do with this document?
Many thanks.
..."At its sole discretion, the BC PNP may consider the recruitment requirement met if you have a valid work permit and/or employment authorization and are currently working full-time for your supporting employer in B.C. in the occupation identified in the job offer"...
Also, if you take a look at the Employer Declaration Form that is required to submit, there is a field for Recruitment Summary where your HR could mention the efforts to hire you, where it says:
"...For an applicant already working for you, please describe the recruitment activities that led to the initial hiring"... In your case, since your HR will not have supporting documents for your current NOC position, I believe it they could write all the recruitment efforts and rounds of interviews in that Employer Form, as well as in your Employer reference letter, and it would be up to BC PNP consider the efforts met.
My situation is somewhat similar. The HR of my company posted job offer for one NOC number and title, but I was hired in a lower entry level instead (due to 20 hours work per week as international student). After 1,5 year I got promoted to the initial NOC job offer intended. Therefore, I did not have recruitment adds to my initial NOC hired as well. I submitted the adds they posted for the other NOC and explained all the situation in the Employer form and reference letter.
Anyways, I am still waiting for them to start reviewing my application, but hopefully it will be all good. Hope some of info helps you.
