Can one send a passport from India to Toronto via DHL/FedEx etc ?
I thought its not allowed in India send passports through courier ...

Hello Toronto1977 :

I had the same doubt initially and started calling courier companies. I have contacted DTDC, DHL, FEDEX, INDIAPOST & PROFESSIONAL couriers... Only DTDC & DHL accepted that they accept passports. I had to call these courier companies a couple of times to check if i get the same answer before going with DHL... My passport has now reached my consultant in Toronto...

In my case, after I received my PPR email, my e-cas changed to "A decision has been made..." in less than a week. This 'Decision made..' update happened before I submitted my passport and other details to Detroit. So this is what I'd think- CIC looked at my medicals and security and concluded that I'm eligible for Canadian PR, so they sent me a PPR email and updated e-cas soon after that. So do not worry just because of this status update, it may just be a reflection of you having received PPR.

Hope you have contacted the consulate and also sent the missing information by now. This is the best shot you can give from your end. No one can be 100% sure how a certain processing officer in Detroit will treat your application, let's hope for the best.

Do keep us updated here at the forum.
Hi Ranjit,
I have received my PR, i was worried bcos i was not sure if they have received my height and eye color details.

why not add your data to the schedule here and update your trakitt account to reflect the advancement in your application? it would make others feel positive.

Hi Guys,

Happy Holiday ... !!!
I apologize if the same question has been asked before; that is, how long does it take CIC/Ecase to update to Medical Received?!

If CPP-Ottawa receives your Medical, do they send an acknowledgement letter as well?!
Thank you in advance.

:)
