Hi,
My friend is sponsoring her parents. She was sent an email about two months ago telling her that there was issues with some of the paperwork she turned in and it needed to be corrected and uploaded. She corrected the paperwork and emailed to the address in the letter.

Today she received an email that the application has been rejected because she didn’t update the paperwork. Obviously, she’s panicked. Has anyone gone through this and able to have the application reopened? Any advice as to what to do? She’s been trying to call and speak to an agent, but keeps getting the “too many people calling and to try again later” Message of the phone line. She did fill out a webform.

Anything else she should be doing? Thanks for any advice!

Does she have the tracking number when she mailed the documents to prove they were received? If so, raise a webform with this information asking for reconsideration. She needs to prove that she mailed the documents if IRCC asked it to be mailed.

She didn’t physically mail them. They included an email address that they said to use for faster processing. She does have a screen shot of the her sent email with a time stamp. She can include that in the webform.

Then she has done the right thing.
