Applicant's step child

My husband is sponsoring me and my child (his step child) to come to Canada. I have SOUL custody of the child and plan to submit these papers with our application. I also thought it may be a good idea to submit a notarized letter from her biological dad stating he is ok with us moving.

Does anyone have any experience with this?

I haven't started the process yet (I have sole custody of all mine but can't or won't get letters from their fathers) but from what I've read, with sole custody as well as the letter, it should be ok.

Yes you will need permission from the father in order for the child to move here ...i would get the letter notorized and include and peice of government id with a signature on it for refernece...Usually at the end of processing if you havent submitted this particular piece of info they will request it from you ...
