Husband got PR approved recently but lives outside of Canada. Wife is not a PR. In fact, wife has never been to Canada.

Husband and wife plan to come to Canada together.

Is there anyway husband can sponsor wife so that they can come to Canada together?

Looks like spouse sponsorship is out because husband is living outside of Canada now. Is there any other way? Ideally wife can also come to Canada together with husband and also has legitimate immigration status to work.

Thanks.

The husband cannot sponsor the wife while living outside of Canada. He must wait until he moves to Canada before he can submit the application.

The wife can try applying for a TRV to accompany the husband to Canada once he is ready to move.

If the wife wants to be able to come to Canada with the husband and work immediately, she needs to secure a job offer in Canada and her employer must obtain an approved LMIA so that she can apply for a closed work permit.

Thank you for your reply !

Can the husband sponsor immediately upon moving to Canada or it is advised to wait for half a year or some time ?

When you say husband got pr recently - were they married when he got pr? Was the spouse declared as unaccompanying and examined (eg medical)?

Not applicable because OP's husband got PR approved.

Should have specified he is compliant with his residency but if you are not compliant with your residency you shouldn’t sponsor your spouse because it puts you at risk of losing your PR status

Since first post says "got pr recently", it seems reasonable to assume has not been out of Canada 1095 days or more and still compliant.

What's not clear if already landed and whether marriage happened before that or if spouse examined.

Still important to consider because it doesn’t specify when they plan on coming to Canada
