Unfortunately yes. 2 months after sending our application cic sent a letter to my wife and say that her sponsorship is approved. In the same letter they say that they will send a letter to me and will say to send tham schedual a in 5 days. But i didnt recieve that letter . A week ago,i my self without any request by cic send schedual a and police certificate to cic, finally yesterday they send a letter to my wife and said that my application sent ti ankara.

Generally within 1-2 months after your file is transferred to Ankara they will process it. Check myCIC within a month and see if your background check changes to in process. For 80% of applicants the decision will be made the day after the background check goes in process but for the rest 20% they will be sent for security screening to CSIS and CBSA which will take minimum 6 months (up to 15 months now for some of us for background check).

hi guys I am new in this form can u plz help me . Mine is not spousal sponsor my sibling sponsored me I did my interview and medical in November 2016 still waiting only two months are left in expiration of my medical my application office is Ankara. Do u guys have any idea how long will it take ?will they issue the visa or in case of expiration of medical they will ask for remedial plz help me if u have any info regarding this ur input will be highly appreciated

What is the normal processing time? You are most probably stuck at background check like us. What does your myCIC account show for background check? Don't worry about medical all our medicals got expired they either extend it to 2018 or they will ask you for another medical once security is passed and everything is ok for visa. You may send a request for the gcms note (copy of your immigration file) through atip website to figure out what is going on. It is $5 and your sibling in Canada can send the request for you.

An Egyptian guy got DM today after 23 months and 17 months in security. Every case is specific but this is the time frame I know. We have applicants with 15 months security still waiting. Maybe 2-3 more months for our group to hear back.

2017-03-23 - Status changed to "In Process"
2017-04-12 - Additional Docs request: IRCC requested updated police certificates from Turkmenistan and FBI. We provided this on 2016-06-05.
2017-08-01 - Additional Docs request: IRCC requested updated police certificate from Turkmenistan. We contacted MP because this info was provided 2 times already. MP sent message to Ankara office.
2017-08-05 - Status changed to "Decision Made"
2017-08-09 - Passport Request
2017-08-28 - Passport received back with visa affixed

You are lucky that your wife was not in the security but I know you have been waiting for a long time and even her visitor visa was rejected before the PR application. congrats on your baby darling, hopefully your husband will get the PR soon so you can move back home, just to tell you that your Medicare will expire before 6 months and if you give birth in Iran you have to go through another process for your child since we don't have any embassy in Iran, so be careful with the decisions that you make. You are absolutely right but thinking about it emotionally it is so difficult to NOT have my husband by my side for delivery.
I have two more months to decide.

I have gone through this process for past two years and I have already contacted them.
Your husband has to mention you annual income in CAD in his account. They just don't count it themselves. They know you are a non resident. But announcing your income in his report is important.
In my case this was it.

I had the same issue he has to fill in your income for 2015 and 2016 and say your income has been 0 and they will send an international income report you say in that is 0 as well. if you call revenue Canada they will explain to you.
