Im assuming that you did NOT use a lawyer or Imm consultant for your original application. Therefore, the price that was quoted to me was $5000.00 for Appeal.

If your application was done with Immigration Consultant (as was mine) then the fee will be about $3,500.00

I would recommend you go interview them. They will all tell you about their high rates of success and gladly take your money. 8)

@ Canadianwoman, please i sent accra an email to enquiry about the status of our my file since my wife's interview in November and i was replied 4 days later that my file is currently in quere for review. Ecas showed in process on January 10 2013 and now in quere for review. Canadianwoman, is this a normal processing cos i asked them about the medical that was expired last month but they didn't say anything about the medical? Thanks in advance......

@ Canadianwoman, how was your case going on? hope everything is progressing normally.

Usually they will decide more quickly after the interview than that, but they could have further questions for the background check. Sometimes (lately) they will extend the expiry date of the medical themselves if the time of issuing the visa is very close to when the medical should have expired.

My case is not really going on at the moment - my husband I want to apply again, but he is having trouble getting his police certificate from Malaysia. It's funny in a way, because when we were in Malaysia someone from this forum asked me to help her get her husband's Malaysian police certificate, and my husband was able to get it easily.

January 08th 2013 denied Visa. Received denial letter with papers of notice to appeal January 31st 2013 sent from Immi Rep January 28th 2013.Rep has also ordered caips notes and we are waiting to receive these notes.Received email dated February 07th 2013 from Havana saying the denial letter was mailed January 11th 2013. Sent notice of Appeal February 04th 2013 by means of faxing and express posting to IAD. IAD received the express post appeal notice the morning of February 05th 2013.......... Waiting for confirmation of receipt from IAD.

Immigration system in Canada was broken a long time ago. There is little political will to change things. Unfortunately, we are dealing with cutbacks as all other countries are as well.

The sadest part....all it would take would be to add $100.00 or $200.00 to landing fees in order to hire more VO's and therefore, not affect the Canadain taxpayer !

People need to visit their MP or write letters. (I have been to mine many times)

The issue I have....waiting time for Appeal in Toronto is well over 2 years now....this is unaceptable !!!!!!!!!

hello everyone

hi there am new to this forum .my visa got denied in dec 2012 because i was charged with drink and driving in 2009 it was my first mistake i have paid all my fines and have attender the responsible driver programe as well .but the when i saw my ciaps notes it says that the officer is satisfied with the marrage and the marrage is bonafied and then i got another letter that that i have been charged with dui and am inadmisible to canada.me and my wife hired a lawer .but can anyone hekp me out with the time frame from the start of the appeal to get the visa .it took delhi 13 months to decide on my case and since the decision has been made and i still didnt get my passport back as its has been almost 2 moths i tried mailing them no answer i tried calling them no answer i dont know when will i get to see my lovely wife.i was in canada for 5 yeard on student visa and we both went to same college and fell in love .as my visa was expiring and i was asked to submitt my passport at delhi so i had no choice rather than returning to india to submit my passport today is exactly one year since am away from her so kindly plzzzz help me out with the exact time frame from begning till end in vancouver bc\thanks in advance \
