i am 40 and husband sponsoring me is 51. pr process has been going on smoothly and we are hoping for a speedy and positive result. it's just hard not being together.

Well he was 20 and I was 19 at the time we decided for us to really start to immigrate but we knew I should live here when we were first together at 18.

We are both 20 now and we just submitted our application July 13, 2010.

We applied Inland, from initial application to PR status took less than 8 months . The 14 year age gap made no difference to our application at all.

we have 2 kids (1.5 and 4.5) and have been living together since i came back down to uruguay 5 years ago.

I think it will be hard for us to adjust.. we have our own little lifestyle down here that is SOOOOO different from canada. but i hope that it will be ok.

I see in your timeline that your case was expedited to Detroit. What was the reason for that?

No idea! Buffalo was sending cases out to other offices around that time and ours ended up in Detroit (which I guess is our closest one) Some people said it was to speed up processing time. I'm from the UK but had been in Canada for one year so was allowed to send to Buffalo.

I am turning 25 this month. My husband (and sponsor) is 22. I was married to a jack @ $$ when I met my Canadian and we married almost immediately after finalizing my divorce. We had been together for 9 months by the time of the wedding. I wonder sometimes if this will cause any suspicion as to the legitimacy of our relationship but I will just sit back and wait to see what happens.

Age is a problem if you let it be the problem,they can not refuse you on age they have to prove that your not in a loving relationship,prove them wrong make sure they cant question your love.If they cant find proof then they cant use your age as their last resort they just cant.Its age discrimination,
