Yah i got a letter a few weeks back saying they lost my photos n i had to submit new ones, still sucks tho!

I landed in july n still dont have my PR card...it can take ages... *sigh*

For additional docs its anyones guess how long it'll take :( Could get lucky n just take a few weeks or could still take a long time! What point of processing are you at? In other news, my boxes are FINALLY in the same country as me again after 6 months :O And still no sign of my PR card...

Dont worry, i couldn't log on to Ecas until i had the visa in my passport in my hand :)

Lol yup sounds like a good idea, and if you can get the dr to send you a letter from him saying he thinks its fine too that would prolly help aswell...my doctor was pretty helpful in the scheme of things so maybe yours will be if you ask them to state they know better than the visa office on...

Whoever you/the person helping you, spoke to before? N make sure to get a name in the future so you can be like *blank* said it would take this long

All CIC suck at updating addresses, mine never got updated so i had someone getting my mail in england and either sending it on to me, or scanning it & emailing. I wouldn't hold your breath for it getting to you! If your letter doesnt get to you in the time they specified, just keep contacting...

I only submitted 8 overall, 3 with my medical, and the rest in an envelope with the application. Then two with the PPR and two more yesterday when i got a letter saying they lost my stuff for my PR card -.-; I'd just start with what your country specific guide says, it should total up to 8 tho i...

Yup i just flagpoled at the alberta border, all you need is your CIC documents, goods to follow list n passport, if you check my older posts i posted a full account of it back in july :)

Yeah and you can bet if it needs something changing the doctor will try to charge you even more! -.-; I thought i was done with it after i landed but they lost my PR card documents n photos so just had to pay for yet more, so i can totally relate to how ridiculous all this is...if i were you...

I believe you have to email or write to the london office. I could never get ahold of anyone on the phones when i was trying to change my address, just email about once a week if you don't get some kind of reply...they're not very good at answering so be VERY clear in what your asking. And try...

Sounds like it's up to you really, if you say it was common law though, it will probably complicate things even further. Easier to look at it as friends with benifits! (sorry to be so crude, but really it is)

Hey guys just thought i'd drop by to mention when i got my PPR i was in canada, i fed-exed my passport off to my mum, with an envelope already inside the one i sent, then she sent it on to the london office (so it had a UK postmark on it), it took two weeks there, then got sent back to my mums...

Got a letter requesting more photos for my PR card as apparently Nova Scotia lost the stuff i already submitted (apparently they process PR cards) so i've had to go out and get MORE photos -.-; Bah humbug

Yes but we're talking about people that had my passport and documents in their hand, then spelt my name totally wrong on my visa, i'd say the more ways to identify things the better lol
