Additional Doc Request

Hi,
during my work permit application, I got an Additional Doc Request for IELTS Academic. Can I use this for Express entry too? I know that IELTS GT is required but I have read somewhere that If you already used it before then there is no issue re-submitting it for PR purpose. Can someone confirm?

For EE, general is the only one accepted. Academic is not.
