Why CBSA and CSIS are taking sooooo much time for background check for Tr to PR applicants, the process is very fast and quick for CEC/Express entry..

There’s three types of security check. 1st one is normal and usually done by csis, 2nd is comprehensive, done both by cbsa and csis (all tr to pr pending files are usually in this category), 3rd check is usually done for files like refugees category.
We all are most probably in comprehensive security check, because maybe we all pending applicants maybe travelled in between the process or maybe it depends on the mood of security agencies to allocate these files under this security check.

Yes its official, see the new immigration plan and look through all the fields properly. You will see it.

With a long, long wait, it finally comes to an end.
IRCC allocated up to 3,000 TR to PR approvals in 2024, and here comes. I don't know if we should be considered lucky or unlucky, those early TR to PR approvals are already applying for their citizenship, but there are still thousands waiting...

Our security check lasted from late 2021 / early 2022 all the way till Dec 2023. The check was carried out by CBSA and CSIS, so there is basically nothing we can do. Once the security check ends, everything should go fast.

I got an update yesterday.
Asking me again for "Medical Report - Section A Client identification and summary (IMM 1017E)" for my dependent, again.
it was requested in December 29, 2022 -- exactly the same.
Weird, because it was already in final decision step.. everything was passed.

It is frustrating, no one to talk or ask and the only alternative is to do it again.. more money more time.. and seems like starting over.
Any one else got something similar lately?

Did you try to contact MP and writ of mandamus?

I am not sure if "writ of mandamus" is an option for tr to pr ctream. because there is no timeline so we can't say if our file exceeded the "normal processing time on IRCC website. Any idea?

Mine also same.
Cbsa and csis conduct these security checks. Don’t know how long will these agencies take to submit reports to ircc.

I applied the GCMS notes and the user id is “DK02365_BOT”. Is this same for all of you or Whitehorse agents are being lazy as they are infamously reported in this forum?
No update on file since August 2022.

I reachoed out to multiple lawyers. Most of them are just asking me to wait. but there is a lawyer who suggested filing "manadamus". Do you guys think it may help? I need to pay 5-6k
