I did by paper, my mistake... getting your OWP in 4 months is still in the expected time frame though.I don't know if you applied by paper, or online. It's much slower by paper. We sent paper restoration of status as visitor and OWP application to Vegreville (OWp returned because of insufficient funds), and they received it on Feb 9. We only got OWP on June 5.
I don't know if they will accept it. All you can do is try.@canuck_in_uk i was hoping you can give a little insight on this. I ran into trouble. I just found out that we do not have my partners divorce certificate, what we have a is a final divorce order. Can we submit that final divorce order instead of a divorce certificate (we dont know how long it takes to get a copy)?
Same here got update on background check two days ago and didn't get the Medical request yetMy background check status changed from Not applicable to we are processing it.. app received 6th feb! Isnt that weird? I mean i didnt even get the Medical request yet
I am at the same timeline as you- Jan 3rd. We have had the same action as you have (which is consistent with the normal timeline). Next step is Medical request, but we wont expect that until July or August. December apps are starting to get theirs...Hey guys,
I applied for my PR under the Spousal In-Canada class on Jan 5, 2018. Since then about 5 weeks later, I was asked to submit my police clearance certificates which I did submit in March.
However, i havent heard anything back from IRCC ever since.
I keep checking online for the status, yet it states " your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start reviewing your eligibility."
It's been the same status for the last 4 months now, and it's been 6 months since I applied. I have the following questions:
Could anyone pls tell me if this is normal ?
What the next steps would be ?
And how long till the medical is requested?
Any help/ information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
If I can recall, I also ticked NO then in the box, we typed NOT APPLICABLE because we are living together. Hahaha! I remember when we were filling in the forms, I actually made a remark about this question.@iamvenus hey venus! i have a clarification question on imm 5532 part c #4 | if you are not living together, have you visited each other during your relationship? | my answer is no because my partner and i met here in canada and. so is it okay to answer no and say " NO, because we met in canada and have been living together. | is this okay?
This one bothered me too. Since we applied inland, we were living together so it shouldn't apply to us, but we also had a lot of visits in the preceding years. So we did the N/A thing, but we had a separate letter where we were explaining some other stuff and I mentioned the trips there as additional proof. If I can recall, I also ticked NO then in the box, we typed NOT APPLICABLE because we are living together. Hahaha! I remember when we were filling in the forms, I actually made a remark about this question.
