No, you did not. You gave much more...

You said (and this is a direct quote):
They will send another letter a little bit later asking you to apply for CSQ.
CSQ will reply after another 3-4 weeks from the date they receive it.
Once CSQ have replied, CIC will send AIP.

Which is a lot of assumptions, given that we received AOR almost 3 months ago, and nothing has happened since.
All we see when verifying the application status is this:
We received your application to sponsor xxxxx on May 22, 2012.
We started processing your application on September 26, 2012.

This is very frustrating, and reading notes like yours that say that they will send a letter "a bit later" makes it even worse, because that is not the truth.

I am not angry, I just wish you did not assume things that may not be true and give others false hope.

For the record, CSQ is very straight forward and that one should be correct unless Quebec get a sudden influx of app's.

Well, that will be a nice change, because as of today, nothing feels like straight forward. They've had our money for a long time and we get no news at all. I did not mean to lash out at you, I am just so disappointed about my own country and how their immigration systems treats people. :'( :-[

Our case should have been very simple to handle as well; my husband and I have been married for 11 years. I moved in his country (US) in 2000 and we decided to move back to Canada together this year.
I received American citizenship while I was in his country, and let me tell you the process was much more simpler and straight forward than here. I am embarrassed.

FYI: In our situation, AOR was received Sept 18, and Process started Sept 26.

Just went through my documents, my AOR letter (received by post) that my husband (sponsor) received invited him to apply for CSQ at the same time. I wonder why they did not ask you to yet, have you spoken to the call centre? Can't see why they'd delay so much in the first stages.

All we received as far as AOR was an e-mail, and it did not say much except that they had received our application.

Thank you for suggesting a call to CIC. I just called them and was informed that they sent us a letter on November 1st, inviting us to move forward with CSQ. Problem is, we never received the letter, so now they are going to call Vegreville to ask them to send it again.
Might take up to 6 weeks before we receive it. Meanwhile we are still stuck. But at least we know something.

Get your Quebec app filled out if you haven't, and ready to post as soon as you receive the letter that needs to go with it.

Maybe once I get my medical issue (CIC being dumb) sorted out, and you get CSQ we will be on the same time track again

I filled it out a while ago, but thanks for mentioning it. I may review it to make sure the documents have not changed since I did it.

I believe that someone on this forum mentioned at some time that she was in the same situation, where she was supposed to receive a letter and never received it.

I am wondering if it took very long before it got resolved. 4 to 6 weeks seems so long, it is almost unbelievable it would take so long for them to resolve an issue that they created.

Do you remember who it was? Maybe I could reach out to that person and ask...

To be honest, I doubt it would take that long but they are probably covering themselves by giving a long estimate. They don't want complaints I guess. Let us know when you get it.
