Hi, I have a question regaring the bridging work permit.

I am currently in Toronto with a work and holiday VISA. I am applying for the Federal Skilled Worker Program and I was wondering if I am eligble to apply for the "Bridging" open work permit since my work and Holiday Visa will expire in a few weeks?

I hope somebody could help me with this.

Best wishes Christel

When did you submit your FSW application? You need AOR and your work permit also still has to be valid in order to apply for the BOWP. If you haven't submitted your FSW application yet or submitted it in July, then you won't have AOR in time to apply for BOWP.

How long does it to get AOR? My working holiday visa expires in Feb, and I wasn't sure how soon I should send my FSW application.

Per my other reply, you need to send your application right now. It's taking 3-4 months for CIC to open applications right now.
