We submitted ours on the 10th. Some people who submitted it around the same time have already gotten it back. Guess it's just individual luck. It's the embassy's busy season for visa-stamping, and if you look at the spreadsheet, 20+ days of wait is normal. The last few returns were quick...

I've wondered the same thing. My guess: If an officer has significant concerns about the actual relationship, they go straight for the interview. If the concerns are related to paperwork problems and smaller clarifications, they send a PFL instead. LVO's trends are not reliable and it's hard...

Actually, children aren't a guarantee of anything. There are numerous people on this forum who have kids together and still get called for interviews or even get rejected unfortunately.

I thought this dharna would have minimal effect on COPR processing, but I realized it probably stops some people from getting to work. Where my hubby lives, the major roads leaving his house are blocked. Even if he had his visa, he wouldn't be able to make it to the airport right now .

Not every second marriage case is called for an interview, but in general, second marriage cases tend to have more points of contention (more documents needed, heavier burden to prove genuineness of relationship, more scrutiny upon intention of both parties and cultural contexts, more complex...

Hey guys, Some more calculations--this time about COPR return :D! These are approximate values based on the last 15 COPRs on the spreadsheet: Average time between PPR and COPR return: 12 days Almost 70% of people got COPR within 2 weeks Keep in mind that some people submitted their passports a...

Some people think the dharna has something to do with it, but I don't see how that would affect office affairs. They just have a heavier work load these days. Also, most people on the spreadsheet have waited around 2 weeks to get a reply, so hopefully we'll all be hearing back soon ;).

COPR return is hard to predict. Some people get it within a week but for others it can take up to a month. It's been about 2 weeks since we submitted the PP to Islamabad and no reply yet.

Not everyone is asked for nikaah signing photos or even an explanation. I provided no such pics and they never asked me anything about it.

They ask silly questions sometimes but the answers to those questions are usually straight forward and easy, so if you answer honestly and clearly, it doesn't create an issue. Some people start panicking but all you have to do is write the honest, common-sense reply. They're not supposed to...

Don't stress so much. Call CIC and contact your MP if you're still confused after that.

Best approach to bring to be spouse to Canada

Oh right, there is the dual intent thing, but it seldom seems to work. It doesn't hurt to apply for a TRV but it's best not to get your hopes up.

    Remedical to DM

It depends partly on which visa office is processing your application. Find other forum members from the same VO and they'll give you a good idea.

Best approach to bring to be spouse to Canada

It's best to apply for outland sponsorship because her intention of coming here is to get married and settle permanently. She wouldn't be coming as true visitor so it's better not to apply for the visit visa.

    Urgent

Contact the visa office via email or an inquiry and ask them directly, or ask your MP to inquire on your behalf.
