Hello Friends, I just got GCMS notes and I am bit confused .. I applied for my parents in January 2015 and after that just received the file number and all that sometime in march.. Now it's been almost 2 years and in GCMS notes nothing has been changed.. is that normal? Is there anybody else...

That is normal. Sometimes you get update saying your application is closed and approved in some cases you don't. Just track your CP tracking number and self addressed envelop should be activated by next week. They are sending passports back in 10 business days (current trend*)... All the best!

Only when you need to go out of the Airport.. Otherwise it is fine..

I would say wait for a bit otherwise raise a query to CPC Ottawa.

They approved it on Sep 7..

The girl might have returned one paper where you mentioned CPC-Ottawa address.. you can find your tracking number there. but they dont tear the other envelop's paper because it should be done when they post it back. but you could save that number before you sealed the Self addressed one. Still...

It's not the same number. There is always a tracking number printed on the Envelop(with a barcode). It just gets activated when your mail is accepted / picked by Canada Post. Thanks,

It showed next day but God Knows. Some other people even called them and call center responded a passport received date after a week from the tracker date :P .. I know its a pain waiting for our passports back and this wait time is more harder than receiving PPR.. Thanks,

Oh.. Don't worry .. I sent on 28th although it was Saturday but still earlier than you.. Don't worry brother. I have heard some of the cases who got their passports back even without changing the status in MyCIC. I mean BG was still in Progress even after receiving the passports back with PR...

Yes, But only states that application has been approved and closed.

I understand the frustration but don't worry, after the tracker is activated you will get your passport back next day. Thanks,
