Where should I keep my PR card? In a very safe place such as passport, or in my wallet such as drivers license, ID etc?

wait time after submitting new photos

I recently had to send in new photos for my PR card. Not because I am an idiot, but because they are. How long should I expect to wait? I hope this "line" is faster than the original one since it has already started to process. How long did you have to wait once you had sent in new photos?

    Immigration Consultant/Lawyer?

Actually immigration lawyers generally don't make as much as most other lawyers. It's kind of a starting gig for many, which is why the quality is fairly low.

    Immigration Consultant/Lawyer?

No, it doesn't mean that. However, if you really need a lawyer for an uncomplicated case, you're either stupid, don't speak English well or just very busy...just like I said in my first post. I never said that everyone that gets an immigration lawyer are stupid. Read my post again. Getting a...

Inland Spousal Sponsorship Interview Tomorrow Morning

Get as much as you can in print, have they admitted to wrong doing in email for example? Try to get stuff like that, once it's all said and done and your process is finished, spend a couple of hundred bucks on consulting a lawyer and see if you can sue these morons. What's the first letter of...

CIC are wasting time and resources again

Measurements for PR card used to be 25-30mm. In January this changed to 31-36mm. Now it seems like CIC are making people that got their PR in November and December (and possibly earlier) to send in new photos that follows the new guidelines. You would think that if you applied for the card when...

Need to resubmit PR Photos - can we send from outside Canada?

Back in November measurement was 25-30mm. In January it changed to 31-36mm. For some stupid reason they make people send in new photos and delay the process, even if the photos were correct and followed the guidelines back in November. I got my letter today. Retards...

    Immigration Consultant/Lawyer?

It depends. Are you somewhat stupid? Get a lawyer. Are you average? Toss a coin. Are you above average (even if it's just a little bit)? Do it yourself. If you end up doing it yourself, make sure to do a lot of reading and ask a lot of questions on this forum. The only people that really need...

Advice Pls!!! Pregnant Tourist in Manitoba No help from Husband's Bluecross Ins.

This is incredible irresponsible. Home birth? Really? Ensure you can save up money. If not, I would suggest to travel back home and give birth. You put yourself in some serious *censored word* by being stupid and not look things up more carefully before getting knocked up. It's a choice. If...

When will I get god forsaken PR card?

But I wonder if there is any point in calling since it does appear that many folks wait more than 3 months?

When will I get god forsaken PR card?

I can see that now, but when I checked a couple of weeks ago I am almost positive it said 90 something days. Can anyone confirm this?

When will I get god forsaken PR card?

I became PR early November. When can I expect it? They said 8-10 weeks. When I looked online back then it said like 40 days. Last time I looked now recently it said 100.

    Working Without a Permit

    Wow, I had not idea.

Insurance for new immigrant, not visitor. No Ohip. Potential serious condition.

That's good. Any idea where I would be able to get that confirmed?

    Working Without a Permit

I still find it very extraordinary that someone who admits that they have been working illegally in Canada in their PR application would be accepted with no questions asked. That must be some kind of misconduct by the CIC officer reviewing the file.

    Working Without a Permit

Wow. It sounds completely crazy to me that they didn't care about that. What was the question exactly? Have you worked illegally in Canada? And you said yes? What was your removal order for?

That's what I am thinking too but I am not sure. Where did you get the information from? I looked on their website but can't find anything that specific.

    Working Without a Permit

Ah okay. Well since they allowed you in and everything, I really don't think it should be a problem. But I don't know.
