yes you are right. nothing is new, everyday we expect to get an email from them and we get nothing. I sent an email asking what we can do about our medical that has expired and they didn't respond.

I agree with you, because our MP inquired for us again in January of this year and she informed me the same thing: that it is still under secruity clearance, and that this is done by an outside agency so they don't know when it will be completed. and every time they inform me that the processing...

They informed my MP when he called to inquire about our file in october.

I'm not from Egypt and so it hasn't been fast at all, they started the security check in end of October and it's still not done and they don't tell you when it will be done. But i'm hopeful that they will request the passport soon, inshallah.
