I strongly recommend not to use MP unless it is some months in progress, the normal time is 10 months, you should think of approaching MP when you reach somewhere 8 months or so, (just a suggestion)

in my case medical expires on 5th august and it gave us only couple weeks hardly to leave so if you have more than 4 weeks left, then dont worry, yours must be on the way, however i must say that in my case i strongly thinks that MP inquiry did help, because my file was not moving any where...

without asking, he informed her tht because of strike they not sending passports by speed post and also because of strikes they are processing files of those whose medical is expiring in next few weeks or days... (we can interpret the way we want but this what he mentioned)

Finally ..... Part 1 of the final process is over. My wife got her passport back this afternoon (IST) with stamp. The NDVO GUY has been very nice to her and explained everything in details. And yes the office was almost empty as people areon strike. Only handfull of people were only there...

i can share what my friend did and what my wife gonna do,, she gonna carry all her jwellery, (not all of them, some will kept in india too ) in purse and she will put on all her jwellery before landing here, coming out of flight ... this is what few my friends did and i am planning do the...

so getting all the calls on the same day from the same person almost on the same time was not the only common thing both of our case, the new common thing is Vadodara.... Are you ready for tomorrow... if i am correct you will receive passport tomorrow..... I wish everything goes smoothly ....

i think there is no point in contacting him without having a contact initiated from him, unnecessary followup may result in delays some times, i have experienced first hand and would recommend to not do that... ,just suggestion

Many many congratulations ,,,,, have a great life ahead... and agree with your comments about NDVO, so far my wife have received 3 phone calls from NDVO and all three times these people being very nice and very supportive...

Thanks Yes it was too long unfortunately. But no regret as i managed to travel to india 3 times during this waiting period n could be with my wife. The real congratulations would be only once she is here.

My call was around noon time and my wife is also travelling to new delhi on thursday. The person from cic was nice n said she can come any day whichever is convinient to her. And to your point , yes , i am also gonna celebrate only once she is here in canada.

My wife got a second call from NDVO to come to new delhi and gave her date n time and confirmed that they have already issued the visa. Waiting to see that stamp in person. Its a matter of few more days now.
