I already have a multiple-entry TRV. Do I need to apply for a transit visa if I need to transit via Canada?

My L1 is expiring in June, and I was able to get a TRV. You should be fine.

Applied online - 02-16-2013 Received notification for sending passport - 03-16-2013 My passport reached New York Consulate on 03-18-2013 Consulate stamped it on 03-27-2013 and sent it to USPS I received passport back on 03-28-2013

Did you send to the NY embassy? They sent mine back in 10 working days.

I should have sent it to LA. I received the request for passport on 16-Mar. Passport reached NY embassy on Monday 18 Mar, no update so far :( :o

@Collet_Visa They can create another account or try to reset password for the existing account.

@vanwilder You can submit all documents except the original passports (obviously) online. When you create an application, the system will ask a series of questions and will generate a checklist for you of all the mandatory documents. You are free to add other documents to that as well

Online application lets you apply together. But any one of the applicants can create a CIC account, and the other can just sign a form authorizing the other person to apply on their behalf. You need to just submit the forms online and they will request for the passport when they approve the...

@kaei - Thanks. How long does the entire process of online application to stamped passport take?? Anyone have a rough timeline?

@keai how long did it take for approval from the time you submitted?

I was able to upload.. Used IE as I was not able to do it in Chrome. I have few Qns though.. Am I required to send my passport to the embassy?

Me and my wife have to visit Canada. I am on L1-B in USA, and I have never visited Canada, or applied for a visa to Canada. My spouse has not either. Can I use the new online TRV application? - Any help is greatly appreciated. I am too confused now!!
