Qorax, I had an issue with my photo and hence my PR card is yet to arrive. It had been five months. I have not even received the red letter where they let me know which office to go to. Do you have the contact phone number for outside Canada people to inquire about delays in issuing PR cards...

Dear Qorax, I made my landing along with my wife on May17th via border crossing. My wife who is the primary applicant has received her PR card and I am yet to receive it. Do you know any phone numbers I can call to talk to someone and find out if there is any issue? Thx, Jang

Hi PND, My immigration officer did not ask about how long my stay would be, just the address where the cards need to be sent. He took that address and filled in the PR card application himself. I was also worried about that part, but I guess it just depends on the office you come across the day...

SD & shar, You cannot bring in anything which you have not declared on the list. And as for the car, they not only noted my VIN number but asked for a copy of the title. So I dont think you can get cars which you buy after landing!!!

Thanks smallduck. The customs officer told that the list can not be changed for any reason. I quote "This is your one and only opportunity to declare any item and import it any time, even in installments without duty/tax"

Guys, I visited the LA office for visa stamping. Here is my experience. We went in on Jan 04. Reached Hope Street at 8.10AM. Parking is a nightmare as there are 4 options and each are costlier than the other. We parked at the one that was $10 per day, but later found out that was not needed...

karsatjaya, I had sent only my new passport (albiet, they returned it for a different reason). Sending in only new passport is fine.

Congrats Twilight, I just saw the news. I think if you are not planning to attend LA office in person for visa stamping, you should submit the PP now. I agree with Pro1 that once the new quota starts, if they have ur PP they will stamp and send it. You can start the unavoidable 2-3 weeks wait...
