There is no difference! I applied with my family, our passports returned after 1 week. But waiting time varies from person to person ... Not sure why.

I received my BOWP, but 2 weeks after this, my PR was also approved. For BOWP I applied via paper application and I attached a cover letter with file number, UCI and my personal information. Fallow all questions on the application form accordingly...

We did our landing today at Carway, Alberta! Proud to become permanent resident in Canada! Thank you all who helped me along the way. It's been a long and painful process but feels great to be done with it! Good luck to all of you!

Planning to drive to Carway on Monday for landing. Do you know if immigration services are open during Stat Holidays? It says 7 days/week, I assume including stats

In my case, both documents were issued around same time, got the ppr request 1 week before BOWP was issued. Once the document is issued you get no refund. I will do the landing this week so I guess the BOWP will be cancelled...

August 19 Canadapost Tracker got activated August 26, hopefully I will receive my passports tomorrow.

I applied for BOWP June 26, paper application. Received the work permits (for myself and my husbands) today August 26, valid 1 year. My old permit is to expire in 1week. :) right on time!!

My e-cas changed this morning from "in process" to "decision made" . Waiting for passports to return. Good luck to those who are still waiting.

I applied June 27 paper application. My pgwp expires in September. Still waiting as well. I assume we'll get it 2-3 weeks from now..
