Even without any update on my ECAS I got the new PR Card in today's mail. The website was not showing at all about in process. I filed the application on 30 April 2014 The new PR Card, which I got today was issued on 21 August 2014!! :-* So please don't rely of CIC website always.

Hi allyp, We are also on the same boat. I mailed our applications on 30 April at Canada Post. Since last one week, regularly I used to check the ECAS. It always shows :- "We were not able to identify you using the information you provided. There could be three possible reasons:.........."...

Read some where in this Forum that the ECAS updates are made only once a week ?? :o If I am correct, we could see some thing by next week only about the action taken by CIC. I am not sure!! :-[

Normal applications for 2 (me and wife ) in two separate envelopes, mailed from Toronto, Canada Post, on April 30. As of today status not showing on the site.

Is it mandatory to pay fee online by the applicant itself from his credit card?. Or Can any one pay the fee on behalf of the applicant?. I mean another family member?

I completed the PR card renewal application and printed but I need to clear a new doubt before submission. I filled the address history, travel history and employment history in ascending order. Starting from the date of becoming PR. Ex: Address history: 2009 April 30 to 2010 Sept 25...

Thanks PMM. I printed single sided on A4 size paper. Did not see anywhere to use Legal size. Is it OK?.

I completed the applicaton form on my laptop already. Can I print it on both sides of the paper? or does CIC prefer it as single page prints ?. Total 5 pages including checklist. The guide does not say anything for printing instructions.

Hi, From the different opinion, I would think about how to postpone my planned trip for a week, which could be safe for trouble free re-entry.

While going thru various posts and discussions I need to clarify some rules and practices of CBSA at US border. An immediate exit to USA, 10 days after mailing PR renewal application on completion of 760 + days for 5 years. Return by private car from USA with expired PR card after 65 days stay...
