If by now your visa issuance is still under processing for jan intake, you can do yourself a whole lot of good by defering your admission or better still carrying your school along by finding out how late you can resume and how late you can ask for a deferral so that you dont loose your admission.

PR takes longer time than study visa but with PR you would not pay your fees as an international student. Would the school wait for you to process your PR which I think is on hold for now.

@marcus, you still have a country. if USA couldnt absorb you and canada is not good for you then go back to your country. no one is forcing you to be in canada. we already know what to expect when we land and if it not favourable, we return to our countries instead of cursing and whining.
