Anyone here receive their PR card yet? It's been 10 weeks since I was got PR, and they said 7-9 weeks until the card arrived in the mail... should I call the callcenter? ::)
So I landed today officially in Calgary! (my info is already on the chart)
It was more or less what everyone said here. The interview was mostly a formality.
Our interview was scheduled for 9:45 am, so we showed up at 9:30. They led us to a line to pay the $490, and here's where my biggest...
So I got a letter (from March 27) confirming that I have PR and telling me to wait for Calgary to send me a landing date. Yay! It says I need to pay $450 before I can be given PR.
Since I know it can take a long time before the landing interview, I think I want to get a temporary SIN number...
Today my ecas changed to "Decision Made"! There's nothing else new, but I'm pretty sure that means PR :D
I HOPE SO
Also, to everyone on this forum: you've been such a tremendous help. I'm so, so glad this resource exists. ;)
I didn't say AIP because she didn't say so on the phone, but she mentioned OWP and getting a work visa-- so I think that's AIP, yeah.
They received my application on May 24th, 2011 and started processing on June 2nd, 2011.
;) ;D ;)
I just called, and according to the woman I spoke to, I was granted a work visa (OWP?) yesterday!
Oh, goodness, I hope I get PR soon too. I wonder how long until I find out? I hope they won't want any renewed documents....
Missha, yes I hired a lawyer for the process. I needed police certificates from four countries, and I sent my application with two of them. I sent the other two later, when they arrived.
