Well, if they're asking you to send the info via email, then there's no way they're expecting a hardcopy of the passport. Follow the instructions. If they need the physical passport, they'll no doubt ask for it.

Can you post what the email says verbatim?

Take your papers to show the PR app is in the final stages (print ecas, etc.) They tend to be pretty lenient when they know your PR approval is imminent, apparently.

Yep, I called the Sydney office but they refused to deal with it. You have to email (which I did with no reply....)

I do have friends in Australia but given how important this document is, I'd rather not take the risk.... After many calls and emails, the good people at TNT couriers can do this from here in Wellington but you have to physically go into the branch (Jarden Mile, Ngauranga) so they can process...
