Yeah, it sends email whenever there is an update on your file, like if BG check goes to in progress or any other change in status. It's a good system, so far I like it.
Its so weird, got an email from cic "mycic" account;

But when i log in to my account, there are no updates...
This is really sad situation, sorry to hear that.
I don't think they will expedite the process, as lot of our parents are alone back home, but my worst fear is, they will cancel your application and your mom has to re apply. I hope they consider it on humanitarian ground and transfer the file...
Lucky you man, i wish i can find such love when i turn 65 to marry a 25 year old,,,,, HATS OFF ;D
Have a happy marriage life, being jealous for sure lol
If it says for Sponsorship application, "decision made" and for permanent residence "in process",,,,, thats quite normal and it means, your application has been approved for sponsorship and is on the second stage of processing now.
I am in same boat from New Delhi office, parents did medical and submitted PCC and paid all the fees back in june 2016, but nothing since then :(
But recently mycic status for background check changed to in progress, and then the very next day got an email from delhi that my parents need to...
It could be as fast as 2 days or late as 2 months, but I would give it a week or two at least. It also depends, whats your "review of eligibility" status, is it still under "review in progress" or "passed"?
Things are moving in Delhi for 2015 applicants, even though they sent my dad military detail form to be filled, the online status shows that the background check is in review on mycic account.
I believe it would be just few more months before they start sending ppr to 2014 and 2015 cases.
You can ONLY apply for your mother and sis, declare your dad as non accompanying family member. But he still has to go through the medical process (it's mandatory for all family members in the application).
The best solution is, convince your father to be part of application and don't board...
No, nothing and this is exact wording;
The attached details of Military Service form to be completed by you and returned to this office.
But there is no attachment. And they gave my dad 30 days to submit this lol.... thats even weird.
