My PR card application was approved on July 10 on the CIC website and I got my card today in the mail. I'm in Toronto area. Finalllyyyyyyy this journey ended...

Thanks, I checked last Friday and it was Updated. I checked today and it was changed to Approved. I landed on May 23. Cheers,

What does it mean when you get an update in your profile for PR card but don't get any email? Does it mean usually that the card is approved or it means you will get photo request soon? Thanks,

No it won't affect it. Read the section of IRCC act below: http://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/acts/I-2.5/page-8.html#h-23 Section 36 part 2. Since you did not get convicted of a criminal offence (you don't have criminal record) then it means you are absolutely OK.

I applied in July 2015... Anyway, it is good to hear someone here actually could extend his BOWP, I didn't hear of anyone doing that between my friends so I was kind of lost. Thanks,
