You do however require a degree to be accepted for ONIP, I only have a diploma so investgated it and was told that only a degree is acceptable. Which was a bit disappointing as I had an NOI.

Meet up in NS or PEI?

I am coming to Canada on a flying visit to see the lay of the land in Halifax and Charlottetown. Two places my wife and I are considering moving to. I am coming on my own whilst my wife looks after the kids at home so was hoping to meet up with people who have done the move and pick your brains...

From what I know it is not necessary to meet the employment requirements, that is just a benchmark for what the industry look for so if that is your job you may want to have it as it will make getting a job in that area easier. The NOC requirements are what is important.

We are selling our house to show the funds so currently don't have the money in our account, sales should have gone through before we submit an ITA (if we got one in the next few weeks). Alternative is that our in laws give us the money and supply a gift deed, again though the money is not in...

HI al, Quick question about proof of funds. On another forum I have read that you need to have the POF in your acount and liquid at the point you create your EE profile, not at the point of submitting your ITA. Does anyone know if this i correct?

I emailed WES asking for clarity for what the report meant. This is the only response I have had. Their communication is horrendous.

    WES ECA

I am so annoyed with myself, applied for my ECA but didn't read the small print and only submitted my three year diploma, just realised I can also include my two year college diploma and bump my score from 401 to 433!! Only £140 lighter. I know what I'm doing today.

Likewise, trying to see if i can increase my points but looking like I am in the 401 club. It feels like the so near - yet so far club!

    Proof of funds

i know there has been lots asked about this previously but I can't find the answer to my specific question. My situation is that we have two young kids and currently own our own home. We put down a large deposit (approx 45%) and the house has nearly doubled in value whilst we have sat in it...

    ECA confusion

hi all, first post on these forums. I have had my ECA results back from WES and they are unclear. I have gone back to WES for clarity but that seems to be taking an age which is slowing down our application. So wanted to sound out people on here who may have had something similar happen to...
