Today my Background check changed from 'Not applicable' to 'We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.' and then my Medical passed.

I am not sure if this is IP1 or IP2, as I am reading in this thread IP1 is 'Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check.'

Also, I haven't received any email yet so:
1. Is this IP1/IP2?
2. We get email on IP1 and IP2 stages?

Did any more Dec 2 (or possibly even Dec 3) AORs get MEP today?

You can read up more about the terms using this link, bearing in mind that this is no exact science. The terms have been developed by this community to understand the progress of applications better - the terms are not used by the IRCC and don't mean anything to them, haha.
I doubt you have moved straight to IP2, however, we have seen some CEC applications move extremely fast in this way (their MEPs are also v accelerated). Your signature says you're FSW-Inland though, and it looks like Inland applications are actually slower than FSW-Outland at the moment.

How to Order GCMS Notes (in the months to come!)
I found this information on another forum and thought we should have it handy here for when people start thinking about ordering GCMS notes.

If requesting from within Canada: https://atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip/welcome.do
Cost: $5; processing time: 1 month

If requesting from outside of Canada, use third parties such as GetGCMS.com or GCMSBuddy.com.

More details here:

LOL. GCMSBuddy has a 1 cent tax on people who are bad at math.

A PNP-Inland applicant with an AOR of 16 Sep 2018 just got their PPR on 14 Jan 2019. 121 days.

Let’s hope the IRCC has something similar in store for all of us!
Personally, I'm hoping for even faster service like @northern sunshine's, since I'm from the US. Canada and the US directly share intelligence, and I've never lived anywhere outside the US.
