Dear All,

I am Dec 14 AOR waiting for MEP, i have few questions:

1. Is CIC evaluating MEP, background check, completion check in parallel or they do it one by one after completion of each step.

2. I am single and if i get married before completion of process and accordingly i inform CIC. How they will evaluate my application?

Congrats. If it's like mine, you'll get another email today or tomorrow saying your application is updated. When you login, it will say "Application Updated" instead of "Submitted", and when you click on it, you'll see your BG is in IP1. Take not of what your BG status is right now to compare it to IP1.

1. Medicals an R10 check are done in parallel. For reference my case: R10 done on Nov 5, MEP until Dec 12.
2. You will need to raise a query informing this update through their webform (to raise a CSE). You will be ask for your spouse docs and the marriage certificate.

How do you know your R10 date? GCMS notes after the fact?

Indeed. GMCS notes :)
  1. When did you order them?
  2. How long did it take for you to receive them?
  3. What was the most recent dated action in the GCMS notes (wondering how far back the cut off is before delivery to you).
  4. What service did you use, since you're Outland?

1. 53 days. Although, for clarification: Initially I used to think to order them after 90 days (because of current trends, to see more details and checks). But I required them on Nov 28 (much earlier than my original idea) due to:
- An error I noticed in the last name shown in my account (when they updated UCI number and my full name from lowercase to uppercase, my surnames appeared spelled missing a space). I raised a CSE but I was not seeing any correction so I ordered the notes.
- I was not seeing any MEP after almost 2 months.
2. 30 days
3. Notes where outdated and only R10 check and Info Sharing appeared as completed. Last action was on Nov 20 (when I raise CSE asking for my last name correction).

AOR Dec 2, 2018

Medical not passed yet. Extremely worried. Is there anything I can do?
Don´t worry. For me it took 67 days... but it was not because of a problem or additional tests required. Sometimes it happens, only waiting more for the update in their system. But that doesn´t mean that they are not checking R10 for you.

For reference: their website inform about taking three months to process medical results, so before that time pass by, nothing to worry.

Good luck! Hopefully, you won´t wait as much as me.

Thanks so much for those answers. I'm probably going to order on Feb 1 just to see where it stands. That'll be 60 days.

Thank you so much for reply.. and sorry for late revert... Even after resigning, my CRS won't get changed.

For point-1, I have following queries. Can you / anyone else help me?

1 Could you please tell me Type of application/enquiry which is needed to be selected on URL provided below?

2 My last day at work will be 15 Feb and if I raise a request today, will that make any difference in processing time of application?

3. Based on current trend, is it ok to expect that PPR can be received within 4 months i.e. Around 10 April? or should I think about extending my last working day?

1. You can resign from your current job, if it is not affecting your CRS, but when you do resign, please inform IRCC using this link:
https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/canada-case-cas-eng.aspx

2. If you are planning to travel after receiving PR, it won't be any issue. If you are planning to it before PPR, do inform IRCC using same link as above.

You can read up more about the terms using this link, bearing in mind that this is no exact science. The terms have been developed by this community to understand the progress of applications better - the terms are not used by the IRCC and don't mean anything to them, haha.
I doubt you have moved straight to IP2, however, we have seen some CEC applications move extremely fast in this way (their MEPs are also v accelerated). Your signature says you're FSW-Inland though, and it looks like Inland applications are actually slower than FSW-Outland at the moment.
https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/mep-ip1-ip2-etc-application-stages-and-what-they-mean.576171/

I think so too, thanks.

I opened my account after 9 hours (since my MEP and BG status changed) to see - my Current Status has changed from 'Submitted' to 'Application/profile updated' again, No change inside. In total I saw this status update thrice in 9 hours:
1. Background check : We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.
2. Review of medical results : You passed the medical exam.
3. <<No Change>>

Happened with anyone? Is this usual?
