Draw is here!

Specific:

  • Federal Skilled Trades Program
  • Provincial Nominee Program
CRS 288
Hey, you seem quite knowledgable, are you aware of this kind of draw "pushes" the next express entry draw, so there might not be one on Wednesday the 6th? How has it been in the past?

In May 2017 the exact same thing happened and there was no influence over the other draws, so my bet is that there'll be a "normal" draw again next week.

So. The 441-450 are almost cleared from the last draw. I am at 437 from since Nov 2017. They have to drop the crs for the June 6th draw right? (435-440).

The 441 and above were cleared for sure in the last draw. However the no of people at 440 might be pretty huge. Sk will take nearly 2 draws to clear it.

I agree with you.

Moreover, this event (these 200 invitations issued today) could influence positively in next results. They invited the candidates who received Nominations... so, this means that these candidates won´t be influencing next draw.

:)

Guys, there is no reason for us to fight each other as we are all in the same boat here which is seeking a way to immigrate to Canada.
People like us who came here at our early ages should have sympathy for people who are less fortunate since they probably could not even afford or have the chance to visit Canada when they were at our age. We are already lucky enough that we had some support from our family when attending school, at least our flight ticket and first year tuition was paid.

It certainly takes guts to make the decision of coming to Canada with their whole family at their 30s. It means they have to give up the job, achievements and friends from where they are living at and start over again.

I do wish that they could grant more additional points to people who finish their 2 year Diplomas in Canada since there is a 30 POINTS different between 2 year diploma and 3 year diploma and there is ONLY 8 points more for 2 year than 1 year certificate.

I have seen so many international students graduated from University in Canada cannot even speak fluent English and their language skills is not much better than the time they first landed was. Comparing to someone at 30s who has fairly decent language skills, the choice is clear. As a result, however, the ones who did their universities tend to be selected fairly quick despite their lack of language working skills.

Anyway, let's keep the vibe positive and keep taking IELTS since complaining does not do any good to our scores.

Wish you guys all the best!

over here we are not talking about spoiled KIDS. we are talking about young people who have came here as an IMMIGRANT as well...being an immigrant means being broke.. no family support.. working 2-3 part time jobs while being at school full-time...not being able to see your family for years because it is too far and too expensive. if it means being spoiled then let it be I am spoiled!
I do feel you my friend, homesick and solitude were beating me harshly.
All the best!
