I had got my file no. on Jul-2014 and I updated it on Nov-2016 , the same here no update ?????
It seems that they are busy on some other form of immigration applications or anything else, otherwise its more than 3 years of waiting and more than one year after update without any response ???
Can someone give me a thought , we will be soo grateful .

You timelines are nearly same as me;

2014 September 19th - (AoR - Acknowledgement of Receipt) Credit Card Payment is done by MIDI and got letter to home address
2017 January 9th - Intented to Reject Letter
2017 March - Files Updated by MIDI
2017 June 29th - Files Verified by MIDI

Waiting over 4 years just for a CSQ is totally ridiculous. Normally, it must be finished in a year.
I don't know why it is working that slow. MIDI is going to check just 4-5 documents and say "yes" or "no".
Even there are 50k applicants per year, with 10 workers this work can be handled.
This is really bad insufficient, sluggish and defective working.
I suppose that they don't want to give that much CSQ confirmations anymore or they are super lazy.

  • Do you have an idea about how many CSQ applications made per year ?

Now I checked the MIDI website; it is written that the permitted total CSQ applications for Skilled Workers is just 5000 per year.
http://www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/en/informations/rules-procedures.html

And they add this;

"By limiting the number of applications received, the Ministère is able to process a greater number of pending applications and reduce processing times."

Reduce processing times ! If it is joke, it is not funny.

Yes, they are super lazy. This has been confirmed by a close aide of mine who visited their office.

We can only expect something positive happening on Jan or Feb 2018 for sure. Nothing prior to that.

Hi Everyone,

Got to know today that a Feb 2014 applicant from India got her CSQ yesterday. She got her file no in June 2014.

This really shows a ray of hope.

Has anyone else too heard something similar?

Thanks
Tarun.

Hi

I also had same scenario. They send a "intend to reject' letter asking an additional doc and we have send it on time. After this there is no news of message from them and I see now the status is "administrative closure' . Is anybody know what's this mean ?

Very good. I congratulate her. Thanks for sharing Tarun.
I am planning to call MIDI again tomorrow to learn my status and share with you.

I decided to call them every month once. I suppose calling is the best way to get update and maybe with this way we can put some pressure to them.
If everybody calls once per month, they may understand that they are slower than turtles. ;)

Lol!!

But the problem is that we can't rely on the status shared with us when we call them. Many a time I have seen that they told people that their file is waiting for a review, yet the very next day they received their CSQ which was issued at least 5-6 days prior to when they called MIDI. But I agree that there is no harm calling them every 3-4 weeks. Let us hope January 2018 brings the much-needed relief.

Thanks
Tarun.

Hello Friends,

I just called MIDI again now and there is nothing changed about my application.

Besides this I learnt that; even i updated my documents due to "intent to reject letter" and even my all documents are verified, they may ask new/updated documents if needed.

So even though they say that you are waiting for preliminary review, you can get another intent to reject letter.
