A bunch of us are learning French, and we have a whatsapp group if you want to join:
https://chat.whatsapp.com/1HQROITB0p51B3kNAsVzAi

I am also in the same situation of being maxed out on IELTS, work experience, and almost maxed out on non-Canadian education (only a PhD, which is really not feasible if you don't already have one, would get me more points). I am currently pursuing 3 options: 1) OINP, 2) learning French, and 3) getting a job. I finally had the opportunity to submit my OINP application on Friday and am praying that all will go well, but you never know with this immigration process. I do want eventually to become professionally proficient in French since it is one of Canada's official languages, and many Canadian employers actually value bilingual English and French proficiency. The Canadian government offers free French classes to permanent residents and citizens, so there is no rush to learn French before landing if you have plenty of CRS points, but if you need points, it doesn't hurt also to get a head start. I had originally planned to go the job offer route and almost had a job offer back around May, but I was kept waiting for about 4 months for the official offer that eventually fell through, so I had plenty of time to get very upset and pursue the other 2 options.
Hi, how long will it take for an average learner to learn French ? Are you taking class room training or online courses ? Please advise

Does anyone know whether it's alright to use online PDF bank statements (proper statements, not just screenshots) when applying for OINP, or do they have to be paper statements? Thanks.

How did you lose your ITA?? Was your application rejected? Please share your story so others can avoid the same situation.
I got an ita on my old crs score. For whatever reason my score had not updated in the system post birthday. The consultant kept me waiting till the last day citing that they have asked for clarification but none came my way. Was it a glitch, what, why, when, no idea. There after am sitting at 10 points lower at 404, and hoping for a miracle. Another few months and it drops further.

I had to decline because the rule is very clear on change in age vs crs score n draws. To receive that message that it’s now rejected due to xyz was heartbreaking. It felt like I did something wrong.

And honestly when people here come asking, what’s the chances of 459,450,445, 435, which anyone following the draw trend in the ROH would be well aware of, I can only sigh. Feels like standing outside a stadium and trying to just get a glimpse of the display screens, let alone get near the gates.

Have you applied again afresh or is your application still processed by your consultant?

French is so hard to understand, especially the native speakers. I think reading, writing could be handled after a couple of months but do develop the ear of french would take some extra time. Do you guys suggest any tricks for that?

Usually it would be a signed and bank stamped document and some very specifically state that it should not be a pdf.

yes i might, but since i have stayed in 3 different countries, getting the pcc would be a hassle. So would prefer ONIP since PCC is not needed. Any idea on when does one get NOI for ONIP., before/after ITA?
No you got it all wrong brother/sister:))
You simply don't need PCC just for to get nominated. Which gives you additional 600 points to boost your CRS score that you do not need.
After that You still need everything (pcc, medical etc.) after ITA.... it is same progress ...

All the best.

Thanks, all the best to you, too!

To further underscore the importance of pursuing all reasonable options sooner than later, I was pretty sure earlier this year that I would be getting a job soon, and I also was a newbie who didn't bother to do any real research on other options. I thought that getting a provincial nomination would be extremely difficult and not feasible for me, and I thought learning French would be too difficult for too few points. So I was focused only on the job hunt (including wasting my time applying for any kind of job I could possibly qualify for, rather than targeting only those that could use my unique combination of skills) and didn't enter the EE pool as soon as I should have. Since I knew that my CRS would be too low to get direct ITA without a job offer, I thought I would first find a job and move over to Canada before entering the EE pool. I didn't begin the process of entering the EE pool until early in June, when I was getting really upset about my official offer letter not arriving, and then I had to schedule IELTS exam and later learned I would need to get the ECA done before I could enter the EE pool (I had thought ECA could be done post ITA). By the time I had IELTS score and ECA, it was July 10. And I received NOI from Ontario on July 11 and missed the July 25 deadline by one day. If I had only thought to enter the EE pool a little earlier, I could have gotten OINP a few months ago and might even have gotten PR by now.
Thanks!

So I just submitted my application, I will log on to WES and order a copy tomorrow. Is there anything else I should complete now?

As for all future status updates, I assume we'll be getting email notification if something changes, correct? I am not planning to log on to the portal on a daily basis.

Hello,

It is unpredictable when next draw is going to be happen. We all have a faith that It can be next Wednesday. I believe no one here will advise you to decline your ITA because it's your personal thing that you should look in to.

Why do you want to reject precious ITA ? ;)

You have 90 days to submit your documents...
