With regard to OINP NOIs does it matter when the Express Entry profile was created? My account was created in early May but I remember around June OINP mentioned somewhere that the applicants need to create a new profile to be considered for the program. Is that still the case?

I'm glad to hear you have not been the victim of hate crimes or know anyone who has been. I wish it were not true, but unfortunately hate crimes have been on the rise since Trump came to prominence in the 2016 election campaigns. See for example these links for details:
http://www.aljazeera.com/news/2017/07/cair-hate-crimes-muslims-spike-trump-win-170718034249621.html

http://www.cnn.com/2017/08/14/politics/charts-explain-us-hate-groups/index.html
these are mostly fake news, if you dig deeper those persons who claim being a victim of racism could have retracted, these liberal medias only report when it is news worthy, not when retracted...

I do think that it's safer in big cities overall, since big cities tend to be more diverse and with more open minded people. Unfortunately even and particularly in big cities, hate crimes in the US are rising. Big cities are also targets for terrorist attacks - remember the September 11, 2001 attacks happened in New York.

Hate Crimes in US Rising, Particularly in Big Cities

Just recently, two Jewish women mistaken for Muslims were assaulted here in New York, the biggest city in the US, in a hate crime:

Earlier this year, in the city of Olathe, Kansas, two Indian engineers were shot at a bar in a hate crime

these are the stories you can come up with a country of 330 million people .. dig from your own country to know how much you can find ...

stick to relevance here and post which are useful for Canadian immigration...

That's a suggestion laid out by OINP.
There were lot of frustrated candidates >400 CRS, yet not received NOI's. Since, sending NOI's is an automated system, the newly created profiles would have higher chances than the older ones. Hence, it is recommended to "withdraw & recreate" your profile for OINP visibility.

As of now, there won't be any issuance of NOI's until next year.

I have a question that Ive been meaning to ask for quite some time.

I have 3 NOCs.

2004-2007 - NOC 2173
2007-2013 - NOC 2171
2015 to Present - NOC 1122.

Now in the application, the NOC I am specifying is 1122 (The NOC that you mention up top to immigrate).

The CRS score is calculated based on my overall work experience being more than 3 years (which it is). Which is what I specified.

My question is, because I am immigrating on NOC 1122 and because on that particular NOC 3 years hasnt passed, is this an issue when I submit my application? Will that in anyway reduce my overall CRS points? Or is the CRS points based on overall work ex (if it is, then there is no problem)?
Fret not.
Your scores are calculated based on the total number experience complied together. Underline the word "total".

With a sparse internet connection in a remote place in another third world (not my home country) where I chose to have the greatest adventure of my life, I purposely logged in now to congratulate a friend.

Congrats @gurpreet.ts! 21 days to PPR! At least my prediction (first week of Oct) is close enough, lol. I am so happy for you! See you in Ontario. :)

@tarunkapoor can't wait for an update on your CAQ and LMIA ;)

To all members of this thread, never back down down, never lose hope! We will all go to Canada. :)

Love lots,
Christy

Plz help me
I need to do my medical exam i am in saudi arabia but my spouse and kids in another country UAE. Is it possible to do the medical in different countries for one family or i must go to UAE to join my family and do the exam together???
Yes it should be no problem. As long as you and your family get medicals done by the selected panel of physicians recommended by CIC, it can be done any where in the world. Not necessary for you to fly down to UAE to do it.
P.S: this may not be the appropriate thread for this question..

Thsnk you Christy and everyone else on this forum, for the wonderful support and guidance I have always received from this forum. Yes CIC is processing applications real fast, and even if we are getting ITAs later than we wanted, the loss is made up in the journey to PPR.

Good luck all, please stay connected!

Dear All,

I need some expert advice. I am working as an HR Manager having a total HR work experience of 7.9 months. Before that I had worked in a bank and in financial sector. I have created an EE profile with 1121 NOC.

I am presently waiting with 429 points and I might reach to 432 as I have applied for revaluation for IELTS speaking.

I am in a situation where I might take a career change to teach.

My concern is will this change my immigration scenario in any way.

As per CRS calculator of CIC, it mentions;

In the last 10 years, how many total years of skilled work experience do you have?

It must have been paid, full-time (or an equal amount in part-time), and in only one occupation (NOC skill type 0, A or B).

As per my understanding, this should not be a problem but still i would appreciate advice from you all....please help.

Do I understand this correctly or are you having less than 1-Year Continuous Paid Work Experience??
