Just a heads up. If you know that you passed SS (by raising a case to CSIS), do not hesitate to forward it to IRCC.
In my case, they had no idea that I passed SS in OCT 2016.

There is something on my GCMS notes that I have no idea about:
the last time my security was showing : Security 1, on the new notes its showing as Security 2
the rest is blacked out.

This is what IRCC replied to my MP after I gave them my SS results:
received a request for case specific information via MP......, Replied to MP that the file is pending officer's review even though CSIS received.

Dont really know if these are good signs or not. its been 20 months.

I talked to a lawyer and he told me to file a mandamus application will cost me around $6000 ish

Yes. I raised a case to CSIS and received two sets of docs, an official letter and a detailed report which its format is different from GCMS notes.

and

how do you raised the case to get full report. normally people get a letter only from csis which only mentions the start and end date of screening.
The process was exactly like when you order GCMS notes from IRCC, instead of IRCC, I picked CSIS. That's it. I don't know why,but they gave me all I needed.

so csis shared the results of screening with you. right?
Yes. They check your details with a few databases and then mark it as completed or not.

He put security screening as the date he got ip1. You know that doesn't make sense. But anyway, you are right to think that. I think he is mistaken.
hence my questions above!

From reading CSIS notes, I realized that CBSA asked CSIS to conduct the SS. I don't know why but I assumed its the other way round. It seems that CBSA is a client of CSIS.

ircc asks cbsa to conduct ss. cbsa in turns contacts csis and any other agency iy deems relevant. so your assumption is wrong somewhat. and this is the reason you are stuck as we dont know what else cbsa is doing on yoir file apart from csis check.

Being in this forum for 3 years, all I can say is that these processes are case sensitive. There is no wrong or right . In my case, Its not at CBSA hands anymore. Its pending for a lazy officer's final review at IRCC according to my notes.
