You need to become the representative as you are the sponsor - They cannot give out information to the sponsor because the application is in the APPLICANT's name. The sponsor has to be authorized as a rep.

It's kind of like if I have a bill in my name, the company won't give any information to my partner unless his name is also on the bill. Does that make sense?

You must be authorized as the representative to be able to get information about the application

Also, I'm almost certain you do not need to inform CIC of pregnancy, only childbirth.

Thank you for your quick response! And yes it makes sense which you explained.
I want to request them to expedite the process if possible in any way due to my current situation. The PA will only get OHIP after 3 months of landing and without OHIP its very expensive for child birth plus the PA won't be able to fly after a certain time.
Just trying to try all the options I have (if they are kind enough to expedite the process)

just for future reference, never use SPONSOR in any of the communication to IRCC regarding your application (after AOR1). it just complicates things. i call, use webform, email them all the time to check status of my application, and a bunch of random questions. but i never tell them that i am the sponsor. i use my wife's email, i use all her information, she is the PA. i do this only because i (SPONSOR) am not an authorized representative.

by doing that, i get responses faster and i get answers to my questions.

also one important thing to note....

DO NOT LAND !!! ... without telling IRCC about the newborn child and updating COPR. there was one person here the other week who has the exact same case and he and his wife will probably need to revoke their PR status and start from scratch. only because they forgot to tell IRCC that a child was born.

They will not expedite pregnancy or otherwise - sorry my friend.

Midwife care for childbirth tends to be much more cost efficient, just a thought.

The child is due on Mar 2018. I am expecting the application to be done before that. But the problem is i'm not sure if my spouse can fly after a certain period of time. If she cannot I will have to add the new born baby to the PR process and take it from there.

In any case I will let IRCC know that we are expecting a baby. Better take longer than not completing the processing.

Thank you for the input. I have actually checked some places in Toronto. They even have a place called Access Alliances where they help out people who are waiting on their OHIP card. They informed me they would cover the cost of the Midwife and treatment but the facility fee (i.e. hospitals) I will have to pay from my pocket (which I am fine with).

I am just not sure how good midwives are in compared to doctors. Since this is the biggest thing happening in my life I would try to choose the best possible option I have.

Also, I know they will not expedite the process - still I tried since it does not hurt.... :)

Guys,

How do I add my info in the Consolidated Spreadsheet??
I have already added my info on the regular spreadsheet but for the consolidated one when I tried to edit it keeps saying reconnecting and does not let me edit the document.

Can anybody include me in the spreadsheet?

It's a personal choice, but I would take midwife care over a doctor any day of the week (for a normal, uncomplicated pregnancy). I have not had a baby yet but when I do l certainly will and many of my close friends did the same and raved! There are much more invested in the care along the way and are involved in the infants life up to 6 weeks after the birth - home visits! Simply a more personal experience.
Again, it's a totally personal choice, and there's of course reasons to go with a physician, but there's a huge midwife shortage in Ontario now because they've become so high demand - just something to consider - and you can have a baby in hospital with a midwife :)

Good luck and congratulations!

We just got notification today that we got SA, but I still have not gotten a request for my Schedule A or PCC to be submitted. I have no messages on our online account and it states they are processing our application and that no additional documents are required. It seems a lot of people got Schedule A and PCC requests soon after linking their accounts, but ours was linked Aug 25 -- any ideas?
