In your answer to "has x applied to IRCC before"... remember it includes all kinds of applications "visa, study or work permits".. if you applied before, then enter "yes" and ur uci number...
I had a 6 month visa issued to me in 2008 but all the paperwork was done by a travel agency. I'm currently answering "YES" to this question but I don't have a UCI. Am I correct in my answer?

Yes. It's the uncertainty that is very stressful. When you know something is progressing, even if it is progressing very slowly, you develop the right expectations and can plan around it. But this not knowing is what's really stressful and frustrating. You keep waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting but need to be ready to act on a moment's notice. That's how our lives are put on hold. If there is some certainty, then we adjust and plan around what's expected to happen. I am really stressed out because I will be losing another 11 points on my birthday in February. Oh and my NOI will expire on January 10. If I knew for sure that I would be able to get an ITA on time, I wouldn't be stressed and frustrated like this. I wouldn't mind postponing my move to Canada for another year or two if I knew it would definitely happen. More time in the US lets me save up more money because I am making significantly more money here than I expect to make in Canada, and each month here makes a difference. But I want to be in Canada long term and I want to know that it is going to happen.
Exactly what we all are going through. We have to accept the fact that , we have put all the plans and dreams on hold for the time being.
Every day, every week hoping for a miracle/ draw so that we can take one more step towards our dream and then again wait.

" Run from what’s comfortable. Forget safety. Live where you fear to live. Destroy your reputation. Be notorious. I have tried prudent planning long enough. From now on I’ll be mad.”
To quote the contemporary author of today.

But don't they push the Cutoff CRS upwards when in the pool?
This raise is very temporary and last for one draw. Earlier draw the cut off is say 440, then the cut off becomes 775 and then again it come down to 430.
Since there aren't many PNP holders, the PNP draw comes once a while with exceptional high score and marginal applicant count, usually < 800.
Most of the PNP candidates are flushed on regular basis with the regular draws and thus increase in cut off is for one week only.

Ok so when I started with my new ee profile after the expiration of the initial one, I noticed my spouse and I now have UCI numbers, does that mean my response to the question should have been "Yes"? Pls respond urgently.
Someone please answer me urgently. I also asked another question yesterday about my error in writing my full names on the part for Last name and it isn't allowing me to edit. What do I do?

I had the same issue with trying to edit my wife's last name (she changed it after getting married to me). Since it wasn't possible to edit, I cancelled the application and started a new profile from scratch.

John McCallum, the Immigration Minister of Canada indicated recently that they will let more immigrants enter Canada in the year 2017. He also regarded it as a "good policy for democratic reasons". The report suggests that the quota will be increased to 300,000 people for 2017. McCallum also said that raising the quota up to 300,000 immigrants has laid a permanent foundation for their country’s future economic growth.

Like many other countries, Canada has an aging population, which poses a challenge for their economic growth. So, letting more immigrants will help the country in the growth of their economy. An economic advisory council at the finance minister Bill Morneau’s office, also recommended that Canada must increase its annual immigration target to 450,000 in the next 5 years to attract top and experienced talent to their companies in Canada.

"This is an achievable number for some date in the future,” said McCallum, who agreed with the recommendations.

In the next year's plan, the number of immigrants under the economic growth category will rise to 172,500 from 1,60,600 this year, the Canadian Government said. The number of refugees will decrease from 55,800 to 40,000.

It is a really good news for people planning to migrate to Canada next year! We also expect that the Canadian Government will make certain significant changes including some relaxations for the aspiring immigrants.

Hi friends. Quick question. I was rejected a Temporary Visit Visa in 2015 and my application received a UCI number. Should I enter this number while making a EE profile now?? Has it got any relation with Express Entry??
