On an unrelated note... Has anyone ever heard of theworknumber.com? Many employers contract with them to do employment verification. In the spirit of getting things ready in advance, I dealt with them tonight. You have to come up with the right words to say or they tell you you can't have a report. If you say personal reasons, they say you have to tell us what. If you say immigration, they say (at least in my case) your company has not contracted for that. We tried rental application. They said you have to give the link to the person who wants to do the verification. I wound up practically screaming that I wanted to see what information they are giving people about me.

Then, I had to spell out name, address, etc. After social security number, they made me guess which of five answers of five questions was about me. Like what credit card did I open in 2006. What was my bank in 1986. At least I knew the answer to the street I lived on in 2001. After all that, they finally gave me my PIN.

It feels like these people specialize in telling you that you can't have what you asked for. Grrrrrr.

Thanks for allowing me to rant.
Rant all you want sister, we hear ya! I had my cup of frustration already today! ;)

Hang in there, it's gonna be ok!

Yes. It's the uncertainty that is very stressful. When you know something is progressing, even if it is .........
Hang On tight, there is one thing which i have learnt over the years.. life keeps piling on and on and just to play with you and see where is you breakpoint, its the time when you need yourself the most and tell back " i wont give up , come what may'And Thats the threshold , and it triggers a switch that opens multiple opportunities.

There are many options opening up, Atlantic pilot program is pilot, it may be a stream next year, you may get your Nomination path cleared.

Stay strong and believe.

I am new here. I have done IELTS and my score is L7, R8, W7, S8.5. For now, I have 404 points. I have not yet submitted my profile because I am still waiting on the WES evaluation report, which according to their website is due on 24th August 2017. On 15th September, I will be losing 5 points. I am really worried right now. Please give me some hope.

You need to improve your L score to 8,
I think it should improve your CRS score .

Thank you so much.
I am planning on doing that probably in September. Is there another way to improve without retaking the IELTS?
You already know it ,I think thats the simplest one.
Others could be
1.Finding a sibling in Canada
2. Learn French and give TEF , claim points
3. Get a job offer
4. Getting a nomination
5.if you are single ,Get married to love of your life ( who is also a Graduate and fluent in English and or French and has some work experiance)

Last one i learnt on this forum.

I think if you take L8, R7, W7, S7 will boost your score, just check using this band score in CRS calculator http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp .

In your answer to "has x applied to IRCC before"... remember it includes all kinds of applications "visa, study or work permits".. if you applied before, then enter "yes" and ur uci number...

Ielts TRF number is the combination of numbers and letters at the down right side of the report... it has letters of the test center and your candidate number..

The wes report number is at the top right written as "ECA#" on ur report...

Romove work experience not related to ur main occupation and for which you do not claim points.. u can drop it later in personal history...

If u are open to receiving PNP offers.. choose all territories and provinces... then yes yes yes for questions..

Remember... if u receive an ITA.. it will be hard to do changes to your profile as any change will require detailed explanation and would increase the chances of rejecting your application..

ITA is a chance for you to prove all the details you claimed in your EE profile... any change would be bad to your application and this is different from updates (like getting a baby)...
