Approximately how long is it taking these days for Pakistani applicants to get PPR after AOR? How long is London / Abu Dhabi visa office taking to give us our PPR from AOR date? Any idea anyone?
Yes please update your timelines from AOR to PPR guys so that everyone in this thread keeps track of it. It will be helpful for all us Pakistani applicants. Thanks !

London office is the slowest office these days.
People are waiting from more than 6 months.
My AOR is 28 Nov. I completed 160 days. Last update was on 1 December - Medical Pass. and then on 16 december my file was transferred to London office. My Back ground is Not Applicable from 15 December.

Pakistani applications are delayed the most by LVO.

Any specific reason why its taking so long for them to process Pakistani applicants? Has anyone got PPR in 6 months in this thread?

My AOR is 16-Oct-2016.. So I will reach 7 month timeline in next few days. I have submitted the query after completing 6 months and the reply was that the background check is in progress. And I think it the the same answer to most of the people who have crossed their 6 months.

So I received my ITA yesterday. Congratulations to everyone else who got it as well.

Also, ran into my first small problem. I worked for a company ABC from Oct 2012 to June 2015. Now the first year I worked on contract full time after which I was on their payroll. Since the company was a global MnC their employment certificate is standard.

I have it on company letterhead, dated and duly signed by the HR manager. Now here is the problem. The text states " This is to confirm Mr.ASG was an employee of ABC Corporation since Nov 1, 2013. He was working as a Business Consultant.

He was previously working with HRXX assigned to ABC Corporation on contract in the same role from Oct 2012 to Oct 2013"

I believe it has all the required documents etc. Need your opinion on this. CIC wouldnt have a problem with the letter stating I was on contract since it was the same position and company. Right?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Contractual jobs are fine as long as you meet the required working hours per week. I don't see any issue in your reference letter. Make sure it matches the JD in your NOC, working hours and your salary is mentioned and you ll be good to go with it.

Guys I am a Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP). I also possess Advanced Diploma in Accounting and Business from ACCA.

Can I receive points for both these qualifications separately? Also considering that for this diploma, I had 6 out of 9 exams exempted, and attempted 3. If yes, how do I get the Advanced Diploma in Accounting and Business evaluated considering my WES application is already in progress?!

ICAP is having an agreement with CPA Canada which specify the criteria for membership which can give you valuable points, if accepted. Link is below

https://www.cpacanada.ca/en/connecting-and-news/news/professional-news/2017/april/mou-between-cpa-canada-and-icap

for ACCA, you can't claim points untill you pass.
