Hi There,

Same thing happened to me! My AOR is March 18 CEC in land! I got an update today and after the update my background check changed back to: our application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check. Then I called IRCC and they told me they are working on your file! They previously told me that criminality has been passed but when I asked she said they will update it soon! She also mentioned that the security is not started yet! Very confusing!

Called IRCC May 17 after my first GU - Agent told me Eligibility passed
Called IRCC June 22 - Agent told me Info sharing in progress, Background still not started..

Got a Second ghost update today.

Today my BG Change - from progress to we are processing your BG Check.

Just now got PR confirmation email guys.. So happy ....

Who got an update for BC recently? (I mean 2nd update for BC, changing it back from "In progress... " to "We are processing..."). How long did it take for you to receive portal email afterwards?

I have gone through this thread , I see people were estimating around 45-50 days for that to change back to processing (this discussion I see happened on June ) so from that we can add little bit time as there are lot of new applications . My humble guess would be 50-60 days .

Let’s hope for best . For me it just 14 days so far after changed to in progress - long way to go

Guys, I have a question:

Yesterday I learned that I passed everything except Security and the agent said it is not started. However, I already received my 2nd GU, which my BC changed back to we are processing. I was reading some topics here and I saw some people stuck in this security not started status. I am wondering, do you think these people who were stuck in "security not started" also got their 2nd GU already and are still being stuck for months, or even though they passed everything except security, they didn't receive any update, unlike my case. I mean, we were discussing about waiting for 1 month after 2nd GU can be an extreme case, it supposes to be usually much less than that, but is it really? Is there any relation between being stuck in "Security not started" for months and receiving 2nd GU?

Should I just reply from one or both of should reply with same details ?

I am choosing option where we all have details under one login and not creating separate portal access.

Finally got the eCoPr!!

- Aor: March 21, 2021
- MEP and Biometrics pass: April 08
- Eligibility passed- May 04 (BG status changed to "your application is in progress ...")
- All stages passed - July 26 (BG status changed to "we are processing...")
- Portal email and credentials (from Vancouver VO) - July 27
- eCoPr - July 29

Good luck to everyone cause I know waiting for this has been painful af haha
