WP Extension question.

Can I apply WP extension once I apply PR? My WP expires in few months and not sure if I can extend it if I apply PR.
I have an LMO which is valid for next 2 yrs. My intial WP was not given till the period of my LMO as they issued till my passport expiry date and now I have got my passport renewed. My WP expires in 6 months and am planning to apply PR in 2 months.

Please let me know.

Yes, you can apply for WP extension after applying for PR. They are separate applications. Since you've renewed your passport, in your request, say that you are applying for the remaining months on your LMO. Be sure to submit the LMO again and a letter from your employer confirming employment.

Hi Venkat2c,

WP extension and applying for PR are 2 different things. Applying for the extension of WP is not linked to PR Process hence you can goahead with the WP extension.
