WP application

I have recently got my Business Visa stamped and planning to travel to Toronto on 29th of this month. Parallely I have also initiated WP since I have a project role starting in January of next year. I was told that if I make a business travel now while the WP application is in process, it might lead to rejection of my WP application. I searched in IRCC website regarding this but could not find anything. Can someone clarify if this is true or not? Appreciate your response.

It shouldn't result in a rejection. However make sure you aren't abusing the business visa process. The business visa only allows you to participate in certain and limited activities in Canada. Make sure you don't use the business visa to basically start working in Canada earlier while the WP is being processed. Then you will have problems.

Keep your business visit to a reasonable length and then return to your home country to wait for the WP to be processed.
