So I am thinking of all of the bad things that could happen between now and then.. I am still waiting for my sponsorship letter... in the mail.. :(

Am I able to re apply? Say if I were denied because I am living in Uruguay still... and I move back to Canada.. and then do the application again...

Can I do that? Or is it a one shot type deal?

You can reapply. Something has to be different for the second application to get accepted, but having moved back to Canada is something that would count.

If you are living outside Canada, the application can still be accepted. You just have to provide proof that you will be going back to Canada to stay when your spouse gets the PR visa.

This is only true if you are a Canadian citizen. Only citizens are allowed to sponsor family members while they (the sponsors) are living abroad.
