I applied April 2015, Amman Visa Office, and still haven't heard anything. I'm sorry to be the barer of bad news but you might be waiting a little longer

Visa offices have very different processing times - so you can't compare wait times between different offices. ND actually has one of the fastest processing times.

New Delhi is 18 months according to CIC, only 5 months faster than amman. I understand that visa offices have different times in terms of months waiting but the original poster is still only 5 months in. No where near half way. I'm not trying to be a downer but I also don't want to give false hope that it'll be done soon. like beautiful heart said, it's probably best you join the New Delhi thread to get more accurate information about how fast a normal case is processed. If you are really worried about your file I would suggest requesting ATIP notes. Sorry to the original poster if I was being harsh, This whole immigration process has just made me a realist.

The timelines posted on the CIC web site aren't averages. The majority of people get through faster or much faster than the posted timelines.

If you wander over to the ND thread, you'll see many April applicants are receiving decision made. OP applied in March.

Oh - and I was the one who suggested joining the ND thread - specifically for the above reason.

Oh- You should probably watch the way you word things.its easy to be so impudent behind a screen isn't it? I was obviously explaining what I meant by "waiting a little longer". You don't have sound so conceited in your post.

What on earth are you talking about? How was scylla's post in any way conceited?

Don't confuse knowledge and, more importantly a willingness to share said knowledge, with conceit. ;)

You should read some of her other posts. This is not the only time that she has come across as conceited. Ive just held my tongue for a little too long. Anywho I'm not here to start drama. This is an immigration forum. Let's keep it that way.

You have no idea what you are talking about. In fact you are the one sounding conceited and childish. Scylla has given so much great advice and never sounded in the least bit conceited. If you can not handle being corrected even a little perhaps commenting on this forum is not something you should do.

I read pretty much all of scylla's posts; she doesn't sound conceited at all.

Same here. She is one of the most helpful people on this forum.

Scylla is amazing. I would not have half the knowledge I do about the immigration process had it not been for her insights and wisdom. I understand your frustration. The entire process is very trying. Perhaps you would be better off just researching it yourself if you are not comfortable with responses. Afterall, you are the one who put the question out there. It's 'FREE' advice. If you do not like it, there is no obligation to take it.

SCYLLA we LOVE YOU!
