Hello Everyone,

I am currently working in two different roles as a full-time employee with my current employer, which is an Academic Institution... I work as a University Lecturer teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Cybersecurity, and when I'm not in Class, I am in the Security Operations Center working as a Cybersecurity Specialist defending the Institution's networks and data from attack...

I have worked in this configuration for the past six years now, and both roles have different NOC codes and very different responsibilities, even though they are with the same employer where I am employed full-time...

On my Express Entry Application, I have listed both roles separately as full-time roles with their different NOC codes and duration of work... My employer currently wants to issue a single work experience reference letter that specifies my full-time work in both roles and the various responsibilities associated with each role...

Please, I would like to know if this is acceptable with the IRCC, or if it creates any challenges for my Application...

Thanks in anticipation of a timely response...

As long as the letter indicates both roles and the responsibilities associated with both roles, I think you should be fine. Include an LOE to explain the situation. Make sure you are not double counting work experience in your EE profile as a result of this.
