If you work for more than 20 hours per week you will be in contravention of your study permit provisions and risk cancellation of the same any future PGWP applications will be refused.

This is what i found out:
*CIC only looks at total hours acumulated
*Chances of getting caught are extremely slim
*Checks are randomly done by CIC
*if a student gets caught working over the 20hrs per week i dont think cic does anything..i say this caz i have NOT read anything about any student being deported or warned about doing over 20hrs during school
Like i said i researched it.im not saying to work over the 20hrs

If one plans to stay in Canada after graduation (i.e. apply for pgwp or pr) it’s not worth it to risk working more than 20 hours per week.

But even if one does not intend to stay in Canada afterwards, following simple rules (not because they fear the consequences, but simply because they are rules) shows integrity and character. Besides, when people (especially visitors) breaks rules, it makes it harder for future prospective visitors to enter Canada. So, please, follow the rules.
