Hi Experts,

I need some clarification in order to apply for Express Entry.
I have started to work in sept 2016 and i am applying for Express Entry for CEC.
When i started to work my employer gave me 20hr/week for the first 2 weeks in order to get trained.
so i have a pay cheque for 40hr for that biweekly. After that i got 40hr/week and now i have in total of 1900 hour till now.
I would like to know will that be a problem that i worked for first two weeks for 20 hour.
I have submitted my EE yesterday and got points.
Please help.

No you don't, you cannot count more than 30 hours per week.

You haven't met the requirement (yet) of a year of full-time work experience (or the equivalent adding your part-time experience) to be eligible under the CEC program.

When you work part-time (fewer than 30 hours per week), you have to pro-rate the experience. 2*20 hours per week / 30 hours per week == 1.3 weeks full-time equivalent.

Basically, you need to work one extra week (53 weeks instead of 52 weeks) to be eligible. Note that you must complete the 1 year requirement before you receive an ITA (if you get the ITA too early, you'll need to decline it).

Hi, thank you for your answer.

I have a question. What about paid sick leaves, vacation pay and stat pay or stat worked pay. do IRCC take them into their account as worked hours, please?

Appreciate your answer
