Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Ask Bunac again if they are sure. You are applying. Your husband is not trying to come with you. Why would it then matter if he is eligible? If you look at http://www.bunac.org/uk/workcanada/eligibility.aspx it says :
Can I bring my partner? Restrictions apply – If your partner is not also applying please contact BUNAC
But this is only if you want to bring your partner. You are not actually bringing your partner. He will have to qualify for his own visit visa (no problem when he is from the UK) or try to get his own work permit.

There is no Canadian embassy in Canada. I suppose they want you to contact the Canadian embassy in the UK. Their contact information is here: http://w01.international.gc.ca/cra-rce/mission.aspx?lang=eng&MID=36

If you are a UK citizen, then you were given wrong information, the age is 18-30 for both Students/ Non Students. http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/united_kingdom-royaume_uni/work-travail/ym_uk-mj_ru.aspx?lang=eng
