I'm sure this has come up elsewhere, but I can't find it, so please excuse duplicate post.
Scenario 1) I am a grad. student on Study Permit but currently located outside Canada in the US (on H1B visa). Can I teach part-time at a College in Quebec if the work is being done remotely? In other words, does the 20-hour off-campus work permission still apply when working from outside Canada?
Scenario 2) Say I return to Canada on Study Permit and want to continue working for my US College employer from Canada. Am I allowed to work for a US employer and earn US-based income in a US bank account (and subject to US taxes) while physically located in Canada? Or does the 20-hour off-campus rule only apply to working for Canadian employer generating Canadian-based source income?
Related: Anyone know if H1B worker inside the US is allowed to work for Canadian employer (so if Scenario 1 is OK)?
